Almost 300 car dealerships closed their doors in the first quarter of 2009 according to a report in tomorrow's
WALL STREET JOURNAL and the National Automobile Dealer's Association.
As of March 31s, there were 19,738 new car dealers in the US, down from 20,009 at the end o 2008 and down almost 1,000 dealers from the start of last year. The NADA predict that 1,200 dealers will cease business this year.
